Screens HAN-J6 hemp seed (Cannabis sativa L.) protein for antimicrobial peptides, a source not previously characterised this way. Defatting, alkaline extraction and acid precipitation, then trypsin/Lys-C digestion and LC-MS; PEAKS 12 de novo sequencing returned 3,985 peptides, and CAMP R3 and AMP Scanner_V2 screened the ALC>=80% list to 56 and 260 candidates respectively, 27 of which both tools agreed on.
